Wildlings: Where the Wild Things Gather (0-5yrs)

Fridays, 10am-12pm

Adventures for Little Wildlings and their grown-ups.

You are invited into little worlds of wonder – a place for little wildlings and their grown-ups to explore, wonder and connect with the living world around us. Each week, Wildlings will be invited to use their imaginations as well as their senses to discover a different kind of wild thing.

Forgan Arts Centre’s garden, woodland and the changing seasons will be our inspiration, allowing each week to unfold in its own way.

We’ll respond to what is growing, changing, falling, flying, hiding, blooming, crawling and appearing around us. Through story, movement, making and curious encounters, we’ll discover the many wild things that share this place with us. Simple props and things to wear will help us enter the world we’re exploring, taking us deeper into the adventure.

What to bring

Bring yourself, curiosity and weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor exploration. Most materials will be provided using resources from the garden, woodland and Four craft store.

For our first adventure: bring along a little wild thing you’ve found, noticed or wondered about – a feather, leaf, stone, shell, seed, twig, drawing or simply a story. Nothing special is needed.

We will gather and share for the final half hour of each session, while our wild selves refresh with tea, coffee and juice.

A little invitation for our Wildlings:

  • Come as you are.
  • Bring your curiosity.
  • Look closely.
  • Listen carefully.
  • See what wild things we might discover.

A standard ticket covers one adult + child/baby at £7.50 per session. Additional child/baby tickets can be purchased at an additional £6 per session. Babes-in-arms that will not be participating do not require to book a space.
