Forgan Arts Centre is a home for artistic production, experimentation, and learning in North East Fife
What’s on this week
Fun-filled two weeks with Children’s Art Club for 5-12 year olds. Then on Saturday 11 April, join us for Sensing the Season a workshop about seasons and the senses, led by a folklorist and a historian. Together, we will attend to the garden at Forgan Arts to interrogate the seasons and seasonality through discussion and artistry. We also have a workshop with Unesco Māori designer and artist Matthew McIntyre Wilson for an introduction to harakeke, also known as New Zealand flax, its properties and possibilities.

Gardening for the Future
Every 1st and 3rd Saturday we host an open volunteer meet-up in the gardens at the centre. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary. The meet-up is led by gardener, grower, and environmentalist Dr Helena Simmons who will support people to get involved.
The activities include building raised beds, learning about ‘no-dig’ growing, planting vegetable and flowers, harvesting, and the never ending weeding and pruning to keep the gardens tidy. All activities relate to the sustainability, improving biodiversity, and tackling the climate emergency.
