A Place to ‘Be’
We believe creativity can transform lives, strengthen communities, and help people feel more connected; to themselves, to one another, and to the place they live. As an independent charity, we rely on fundraising and donations to keep our buildings open and deliver the wide range of creative and socially engaged programmes that take place across the centre and grounds.
Alongside our arts and crafts classes, workshops, studios, and festivals, we deliver projects that support young people experiencing exclusion from education, unpaid carers, LGBTQIA+ communities, mental health and wellbeing, environmental learning, food growing, and community connection. Every year, thousands of people take part in free and subsidised activities, community events, creative learning opportunities and artist-led programmes that make culture more accessible, welcoming, and rooted in care.
