Edge School Lesson Four

Lesson Four – Saturday 28 November 1-5pm

This Lesson will be led by Forgan Art Centre’s current Artist in Residence Nxa Parinussa.

For this session, we are going make soto – a family recipe that involves many hands doing wee bits. While we make, we will be having conversations about collectivity, about forming groups and intentional community building. We’ll consider what it takes to connect and build collective relationships in times of global crisis, individualism and disconnection from lineages of knowledge.

We will unpick our ideas around what is/isn’t community, and who decides things in community spaces, often things which are not always named. We are going to think about gathering, purpose, intentions, care and accountability in relation to queerness.
