Little Shoots, Monday 10.30am-12pm

Outdoor baby & pre-school group

Little Shoots is held in the gardens and woodland of Forgan Arts Centre from 10.30am-12pm. It’s suitable for children and babies under 5 years old along with their adults and siblings. Explore the Forgan Arts Centre garden, sow a seed or two, and grow your wee one’s love of the environment and biodiversity in a fun and creative environment. Activities include sensory play, art, crafts, games, storytelling, and singing together, all mixed with science education and environmental sustainability in mind. The session finishes with tea and coffee for the adults and juice for the children in the warmth of the Centre.

The theme of this sessions is ‘growth’ and we will explore:

  • Food for people
  • Feeding wildlife
  • Pollinator’s
  • Art in nature
  • Mindfulness for families – growing mental fitness

Please note, adults must supervise their children at all times.

About the tutor

Session leader Hollie Sutherland of Wild Fife Babies and Bairns is a conservationist and promoter of Citizen Science (public participation in scientific research). Hollie uses her environmental background, experience of working with young children and her own knowledge as a parent to run fun and relaxed sessions for you and your little ones.

Wild Fife Babies and Bairns’ main aim is to ignite and encourage the natural curiosity and inquisitiveness of young children in nature, so that hopefully not only will they develop a love and respect for the natural world but will also gain from all the benefits it has to offer for their own physical and emotional development along the way.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
