About the event
Join us for a free group walk that uses embodied nature practices such as movement, yoga, and mindfulness to aid us in connecting with the natural environment. The walk will be a circular route starting and ending at Forgan Arts Centre. It will include some gentle hills and uneven woodland terrain. The pace will be unpressured and all participants will be encouraged to care for one another as we journey together. Led by renowned movement artist Fleur Darkin, the walk draws on diverse knowledge systems and uses embodied practices to heighten sensitivity to the world around us.
Participants are invited to join us post-walk for coffee and tea. This is a free event, but booking is required.
What to bring
Wear water or rain-proof clothing as well as comfortable and warm layers. Sturdy footwear is recommended if you have it. You may be invited to sit or lie on the ground so no need for your smartest gear! Dogs are welcome to join.
