Saturday 16 May 10.30am-1.30pm
In Solarpunk Futures, a role-playing game, Daisy, acting as the Game Master, will guide you through events happening in a 3 hour possible near future scenario. You and the dice will make choices and ultimately decide the outcome of the scenario. Using pen, paper and dice, you’ll play as a character living in a future Newport and Wormit, as part of a community task force, working together and solving problems. There will be time to discuss the game after the session.
Beginners, LGBT+ folk, and ND folk are all welcome and it will be a fairly casual session. Content warnings for the scenario include: extreme weather events (storms, flooding, heatwaves), dangerous situations.
The Solarpunk movement envisions and works towards a future where we have a sustainable and equitable society, focused on nature and community, and using the technology we currently have available.
This session is three hours and free to attend, please come along for the full duration to get the most out of it. For anyone aged 13+ to adults.
What to Bring
Daisy will provide everything needed to play, but feel free to bring along your own pens/pencils, paper, dice, fidget toys, or crafts you can do while talking.
