About

Alternative (Art) School is a project in partnership with Madras College for young people aged 13-15 years old who feel that school isn’t always for them. Creative Practitioner, Jek McAllister, is the lead artist for Alternative (Art) School. They co-curate the programme with the participants and invite selected artists to take part. The resulting programme is a rich mix of art, craft, and horticultural workshops led by established artists. Up to 18 students, aged 13-15 years, can participate on this journey through traditional and contemporary practices that helps to build self-esteem and friendship through creativity.

If you are interested and want to know more please email Jek on projects@forganartscentre.co.uk

This project is funded by The National Lottery Young Start fund and Madras College, St Andrews.
