Lughnasadh: Hungry Souls

Saturday 5 August, 7-11pm

Lughnasadh at Forgan Arts Centre is an evening event featuring live music, dance, spoken word and poetry. A specially created ensemble of dancers, musicians and artists create an evening of celebration with this walk-about performance curated by artist in residence, choreographer Fleur Darkin.

Running order:

  • 7pm: doors and bar open.
  • 7.30-8.30pm: dance, music, and spoken word performances across the building.
  • 8.30pm onwards: live DJing from Tom Le Freak.

Due to the weather, we have moved most of the evening’s activity indoors. The performance is promenade, this means the audience will walk around the building and occasionally, weather dependent, into the gardens and grounds.

This event is for anyone of any age. All tickets are ‘pay what you can’ starting at £0. All ticket income contributes to the running costs of Forgan Arts Centre. There will be a bar serving wine and beer between 7-9pm only. You’re welcome to BYOB. Soft drinks and non-alcoholic drinks served throughout the evening. Come dressed for all weathers!
