Silver Stacking Rings

About the workshop

In this workshop, you will create a set of three textured, slim silver rings that can be stacked together or worn separately. The workshop will begin with a demonstration by artist, Alana Peden of East Nook Studio. The demonstration will show you how to work with the material, design, make and texture your ring. This workshop will also introduce you to and teach you to safely use the various tools needed for working with precious metals.

Participants will size their rings, calculate and measure how much silver wire is needed, and then design and shape their rings, ready for soldering. Once soldered, participants will clean and form the rings, adding texture by hammering the metal. Everyone will be able to take home a set of polished rings, ready to wear.

What to bring

All materials are provided. We encourage you to bring a notebook or sketchbook and pen or pencil so you can take notes throughout the workshop.
