Forgan Arts Centre is in the village of Newport-on-Tay in North East fife.

Parking: There is free parking available in front of Waterstone Crook Sports Centre. There are four car parking spaces at Forgan Arts Centre, these are reserved for disabled people or those with limited mobility only.

From Dundee: The 77 Gauldry travels from the Dundee bus station (Seagate), to Castle Brae in Newport-on-Tay. The bus journey is approximately 12minutes. From there, it is a 6 minute walk up a hill to the centre. The X61 Travels from Dundee bus station (Seagate) to Forgan Roundabout. The bus journey is approximately 6 minutes. The walk from Forgan Roundabout to the centre is 19 minutes.

From Cupar: The X61 departs from Cupar rail Station travelling 8 stops which  takes 20 minutes arriving at Forgan Roundabout. From there, it’s a 19 minute walk to the centre.

From St Andrews: The 92A bus departs from Abbotsford Crescent travelling 42 stops for 39 minutes arriving at Castle Brae in Newport-on Tay where there’s a short 5 minute walk up the hill to the centre.

Access to the building:

At Forgan Arts Centre we want everyone to be able to experience the joy of arts, crafts, and culture. We welcome all but do have some access challenges due to the age of the building. If you have any additional needs to access the building, please call us on 01382 542 062 and we will do our best to support you. In our aim to provide you with as much support as possible, here are some FAQ’s regarding access.

Please note, access is central to plans for regenerating the complex of buildings and grounds.

What is the walk to the centre like?

From Kirk Road, the walk to the building is a steep short walk up a hill. If you can’t manage the walk, there is Blue Badge parking on site as well as some parking spaces for those with access needs which we encourage you to use. There is also space for drop off/pick up if you’re arriving by taxi, lift share, or need to unload materials for a class.

How many steps up to the building?

There are 7 stone steps to the front door followed by two internal steps.

Is there level access?

Yes, there is a ramped entrance to the building through a glass corridor.

What bathroom facilities are there?

We have a disabled access bathroom and a bathroom with baby changing facilities. All bathrooms are unisex.

Do you have a bus stop nearby?

Yes.
