SILVER JEWELLERY MAKING: with Alana Peden
These classes are led by a local jeweller who has been teaching her practice across Scotland. Alana comes from a background of textiles and ceramics and graduated with first class honors in Jewellery and metal design at DJCAD, before setting up her own jewellery business East Nook Studio, in St Andrews.
These workshops are for beginners and returners, the price includes silver and materials. Come along and learn how to saw, solder, form and texture your own silver jewellery from scratch! Use both traditional and modern techniques to create your own designs or recreate from the examples.
MAKE A RING
In this quick workshop you can make a textured silver ring using simple soldering and hammering techniques, ready to wear that evening! Upgrade to a stacking rings workshop if you would like to make a set of three skinny rings that evening.

DESIGN A SILVER PENDANT OR PAIR OF EARRINGS
In this workshop, we will use both traditional and modern techniques to create your own designs or recreate from the examples. You will create your own small pendant from a piece of silver, before finishing it with a silver chain, or perhaps you would prefer to make a pair of earrings? - Dangly or stud? You will design and create your own simple earrings from sterling silver, before connecting it to a silver hook or soldering a pin for stud fastenings. Whichever you prefer, you can make it in this workshop.
